Jazz in the Diamond District Synopsis & Summary

A talented young jazz vocalist from the District of Columbia discovers that ambition comes at a price after impressing the crowd at an impromptu audition and quickly becoming the lead singer in the District Legend Band, the hottest act in town. Jasmine "Jazz" Morgan longs to become a successful jazz singer, though her terminally ill mother, Willow, implores her to stay in school and not rush a career behind the microphone.
