Plot

Created by television pioneer Steve Allen, Jazz Scene USA was nationally syndicated television program in the beginning of the sixties that showcased some of the best practitioners of that very American musical form. This video contains a pair of programs - one featuring the pianist Phineas Newborn Jr. and the other capturing a performance by Hammond organist specialist Jimmy Smith.
