I am starting to get really sick of these movies that are just total crap! This movie was so slow, made no sense, and had another horrific ending. If I had paid to watch this at the show I would have been even more mad. You couldn`t pay me to sit there and watch this movie again. You keep waiting for it to pick up and for the strange kid to reveal his reasons for what he did and it just never comes. Nothing that he does is shown on-screen. DO NOT waste your money renting this movie, I`m warning you. 1 of the worst I have ever seen in my 44 years on this Earth, lol. I really can`t think of anything worse. I hope I save you 4 bucks on a rental fee.

This movie was funny! I laughed the entire time. Reminded me of myself when I was a child.

Good acting, VERY slow developing story, little action and terrible directing.

Just finished watching this on dvd. Not really sure how the mom and the dad jumped to the conclusion that the boy was messing with their heads. The movie never tells us what Joshua whispered to the uncle during the grandmother's viewing. I found the mom character to be very annoying. The boy is creepy, but it never pointed out directly what the boy did that creeped us out so much. Wouldn't it be logical for the dad to have the baby formula checked out by professionals if he suspected something was wrong with it? The psychiatrist went to his room, talking about his guinea pig the whole time, how is it that she did not notice the dead animal in its cage? If she suspected abuse, as she said she did, wouldn't the authorities come investigate? If the father suspected his son of an evil plot, why would he not tell someone other than the uncle, who did not believe him? Too many unanswered questions. The movie implied a lot of evil performed by Joshua, but seems like the writer forgot to follow through with facts instead of innuendos.

This is a very entertaining and informative movie. I highly recommend it. The writing and acting are top-notch. There were Oscar-worthy performances by Don Cheadle and Taraji Henson. The casting was perfect. This movie seamlessly depicts the dramatic and comedic moments of life with such ease and realism. Run, don't walk, to the theaters to see this amazing film.

While I watched "Joshua," the only things missing were little metal clamps to keep my eyes forced open; a nurse to administer eye drops in to my eyes; and Beethoven's 9th Symphony blairing in the background. Seriously, I kind of thought that in order for a movie to be good, things actually have to happen to move the plot along; the story itself has to be interesting and engaging; and something of significance and interest should be a part of the climax of the movie. Sadly, none of these things happen in "Joshua." You literally could walk in to the theater about 80 minutes in to the movie and really not miss a thing. I'M SERIOUS.

This movie is the exact reason why so many failed, yet talented movie screenwriters are found dangling from their ceiling fans every year via ropes around their necks; or why they are found sitting in a bathtub full of hairdryers. This movie was so bad that it is painful to imagine that there was an entire process that went in to making this movie. George Ratliff's (the writer of this movie) dad was a so-called "entertainment director," so I guess George Jr. had it made, even though he's completely without talent. "Joshua" was awful, so much so that I don't even know where to begin. The plot makes no logical sense whatsoever (just bring sleeping medicine for the first 100 minutes, because nothing happens in the movie during then); it moves along way too slowly; and the end result simply will boggle anyone with a rational mind. The bottom line: if you pay money to see this movie, George Ratliff will simply laugh at you and thank you for giving him money. There are a lot of good movies out there that were written and directed by folks at independent studios. Mr. Ratliffe's lack of anything only got brough to screen because his daddy is a famous actor. And the result... well... it sucks. Don't let him take your money and laugh all the way to the bank. He did it with my money, and as a result, I will write a letter to him, asking him to return the money I spent on the movie tickets for his awful movie. His movie is as awful as he is talent--less. Please don't be ripped off. Us movie-goers really need to put our collective foots down.
