Plot
An innocent child grapples with the abuses of modern-day slavery in Kavi, director Gregg Helvey's searing, Oscar-nominated muckraking drama. Indian boy Kavi (Sagar Salunke) grows up entrapped by circumstance, bound to the brickmaking trade of his parents; all are bonded labor slaves, controlled by the demands of the cruel labor master Samrat (Ulhas Tayade). Soon, Kavi makes a feeble attempt to escape, courtesy of some Good Samaritans from outside of the camp, but gets whisked back into Samrat's clutches and must endure harsh reprisal.
