I think the movie was great. I believe it showed the tragity of wars. The ending was also very good. I would like to see the same producer do a movie on the 62,000 Homeless American Veterans and the hard ships they face on the streets of the US. We got to call this issue to the American People

With two Great actors you expect a decent movie . This movie is what I would call GARBAGE . De Nero tends to do that though , he will make a couple of good ones , one that will blow you away , then this . As for John Travolta , I think this is the worst I have ever seen from him .

Mark Steven Johnson's Killing Season is a hard movie to take seriously, which is particularly unfortunate since it deals with such weighty issues as genocide, the ethical compromises that everyone makes in combat, and the lingering effects of wartime decisions on participants years down the line. With casting this unconvincing, no one is watching to get a lesson in the horrors of war. Full Review

It’s not worthless, but it’s not good. As a genre film, it’s too ambitious; as an art film, it’s too obvious. Full Review

Killing Season is like the Saturday morning cartoon version of a terrible movie: still bad, but at least colorful enough to go down easy. Full Review

Director Mark Steven Johnson can’t seem to balance a tone here, which is a pity because for the most part he stands back and lets the two stars go at each other. Full Review
