to shappy 9Work on your spelling before you critique a movie.sure the movie was gross in parts, but overall, it was funny. How do you lose your dignity by watching a movie?

This movie is too tiring to keep up with. If you like movies that keep you switching time periods you will love this film, if not you will hate it. The cast are great movie actor's, but the dialog is just too all over the place. Helen's role as a dimentia death bed woman rimancing and dreaming of past life and 2 daugther's that don't know where their lives are heading is just too long and drawn out. The best part of this movie for me was when we had a techinical disfunction and lost about 6 sceens of vocal's, the audiance loved it and we got free tickets to another film. Not all was lost for me.

Multiple gratuitous scenes and lines, over-the-top sophomoric and raunchy, angry, hostile and demeaning. The general mindset when shooting this movie must have been to just use the "f" word if you can't come up with some dialogue. I can laugh at edgy, suggestive, crude humor but not when it is served in super-sized, in-your-face portions. This movie is not plausible at all!

I went to this movie thinking it was going to be a lighthearted little comedy and invited a friend to go see it. It was so bad that I had to appoligize for taking her! From the trailers I could not have guessed the extent of the crude humor and foul language, not to mention the nudity and drug use. Speaking of which, I think you'd have to be stoned to enjoy this one!

This film is a legend in its own time. There are certain performances that we remember in our hearts forever. Meryl Streep in 'Sophie's Choice', Geraldine Page in 'The Trip to Bountiful' and now Marion Cotillard in 'La Vie en Rose.' I think that by now it is common knowledge that this actress is sensational and this film must be seen for her performance alone. Just remarkable. The film itself, however, reminds us what 'movies' used to be all about. You leave with that wonderful feeling as the credits role as if you have just witnessed something so monumental and unforgettable which you don't want to end. The lump in your throat just sits there blocking your speech, wanting to cry but maybe too embarrassed to show and express that much emotion. I used to feel that so often in the 70's, which was a wonderful time at the movies. A time when people were not afraid to feel and films were made to tell a story, move people and did not follow the almighty 'formula' of movie-making simply for the all-mighty dollar. No contrived plot twists, no surprise endings and no digital special effects. This movie is made with love and has plenty of heart and soul. Do yourself a favor and see it!!! Some of the editing may cause some confusion and disturbance due to the jumping time-lines, however, that is a small complaint. Just stay with it. Most of the editing is that way on purpose to reference different parts of this woman's unbelievable life. Piaf is an important artist who deservingly received this important film as a final homage to her art and life. She did it with love and so does the movie, 'La vie en rose.'

Ricatoni's food is tasty, but patrons should harbor no illusions that they serve authentic Italian food. As far as Americanized Italian food goes, however, Ricatoni's fare is passable.

The movie was ok. I think the critics were drugged before watching this movie to give it an 88. These critics have lost their credibility. I don't get how Puig gives Live Free or Die Hard a 50 and this movie an 88. Maybe because she's a Cuban, she can relate to being knocked up by a random guy and she bonded with this story. Not worth your movie. A "wait until it comes out on DVD and there's nothing else to watch" type movie at best.

This was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time, (despite the comments of some prudes on here). It's really one laugh after another as the people try to take on roles they have no idea how to fill. Also it has a point in that it takes a lot of sacrifice to get what is important in life - a viable family.

What's up with these reviews? You go to read reviews about one movie, and end up seeing reviews of different movies and trying to figure out which movie they're writing about. Hope this is a temporary problem.........
