Some viewers tend to think this movie celebrated religion but I felt it was quite the opposite. It wasn't God but Aliens that took the kids in the end. Great film and 1 of my favorites. Never really understood the black rocks though.

i thought that the movie knowing was actually about the rapture i think they wanted to take the children first because they wanted them to go first then when the children went to heaven the adults were living in hell but god and the angels were going to get the aldult's who beilved in god and who was good. thats why the children went and started running at the end to greet the aldult's......he didn't belive in god in the begining but when he saw heaven opening he fell on his knees and at that moment he beilived in god then when he fogave his father and his father fogave him thats when they really beilived and that why the guys father said at the end its not over yet son! and at that moment when they all hugged they went to heaven!

As usual the critics got it wrong. I thought the movie had everything a sci-fi movie should have...suspense, touching moments, an ending you don't expect.

I think the end was amazing, and it was really touching with the father and son. It was one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen. Why does everyone say it's so bad? IT'S AMAZING!

My daughter saw this film yesterday. We watched 2 of the 3 movie trailers. She came home horrified by the violence, creepyness, and horrible ending. Wish we had known about the earth exploding ending, We would not have allowed her to go see it, had we known..

This movie was the WORST movie that I have ever seen. Please save your money and when it comes to DVD it is not even worth watching. I am an avid movie goer and this was the WORST!!

Have NEVER written nor wasted my time on a movie comment review. This movie IS only for the open minded. Completely loved it. Cage was perfect for the part. New age? No.... Definite watch ...Will you grin at the end???????????

DISCLAIMER: This is my OPINION!!! Don't write back to me, doing so would be a bigger waste than seeing this movie. This movie was a waste. Try to imagine dianetics meets christianity...aliens taking children away from their parents who love them to a garden of eden, the new adam and eve. Ridiculous!! They should have done away with the aliens and stuck with everyone dying in the end...would have been much better. And what was with the big tree at the end of it! I actually was expecting Tom Cruise to show up at any time to toss the kids an apple...LOL!!!

This movie was one of the most scariest and creepiest movies i have seen! I couldn't handle it............so I walked out of it about 30 minutes into the movie!?!?!?!

WOW I WISH I HAD NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE this is def in my top 5 worst movies of all time dont go see. Although if you want to pull a prank on someone you should tell them you see it.
