some of the comments in this section didnt seem to get the fact that there were many spaceships with many children all seemed to go to some new planet to start civilization over again. that's why they wanted only kids- the adults are all part of the old human corruption being destroyed by the solar flare. I didn't say i accepted that theory but at least i could see where the movie was going. never did answer the question of what's with the round black rocks . anyone got an idea.

Was looking forward to seeing this movie.Nicolas Cage is one of my favorite actors. In this movie i wondered if he still knew how to act. also the movie dragged on and the end did not fit the movie i dont' feel , it was a disappointment and waste of 2 hours.

I saw it this evening. I liked the concept that the paper with the numbers were actually times and places of disasters. The problem was the ending (see Sophie's Choice). If you have a young son like me, you will be inclined to leave the movie during the last scene , lest you go into a deep depression. I walked out. I couldn't deal with it....

Unlike others, I think this is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Wonderful buildup, kept me waiting until the very end. There was even one part that had me in tears. 5/5

Give your $9 to someone that doesn't deserve it. It will make you feel better than wasting your time on this horrible movie. Making paper dolls out of your money would be more rewarding. Just throwing it ($) out the window would have been better than wasting 2 hrs of my life on this dumb movie. If it had not been for the previews it would have been a total bust!

It's not an alien race at all that relocate the children Santo Caballo. If you notice the beings have wings... and the whole movie has serious Christian undertones. The children were taken to something similar to the Garden of Eden. The children are, in essance, the next Adam and Eve.

Special effects and Cage carry this movie. The ending is very depressing and leaves you thinking what advanced extraterrestial race would relocate 9 year old kids on another planet to perserve the race. Alone to the elements with no survival skills, off they go into the grassy fields with their bunnies. The superficial ending, lacking any substance, ruins this movie.

If you've got nothing else to do....go see it....otherwise, watching it rain outside is just as entertaining as "Knowing".
