I was literally blown away by "La Mission" as I knew hardly anything about this film before renting it on DVD. First of all by the exceptional performance by Benjamin Bratt and also by the boy who played his son. There is also a very fine supporing cast who all come across more like authentic and genuine characters rather than actors. There is a pervading atmosphere

This movie was amazing! It was thoughtful, compelling, powerful... I'm going back to see it again this week. Benjamin Bratt and the entire cast were fabulous. Lots of hard-hitting themes were addressed in the movie, all in ways that drew me into the story more deeply. Excellent movie!

I just got back from viewing this movie with my 21 yr old daughter...I truly enjoyed this film as well as my daughter. Being Mexican, I appreciated the realistic views of bringing the "gay" lifestyle into our family. It was very much how our own families sometimes react to life..sad but true...very powerful movie...I plan on going to see it again with my husband and two other teenagers!
