I didn't see it when it first came out because I thought it would be too depressing. In reality, it was totally inspirational and haunting. I have downloaded the music and read several versions of her biography since watching it. Edith was one of those desperate and driven talents. Marion Cotillard who has become one ofmy favorite actresses for both her beauty & her talent, certainly deserved

I was stunned by this movie and felt as though I was living it. The acting was fantastic..got lost on some of it..such as who was Theo? This film was so intense and moving I immediately watched it again and now will read all I can about the life of "The Little Sparrow".

I was utterly stunned and in awe of Marion Cotillard's portrayal of Edith Piaf -- one of the best acting performances that I have ever seen. I have ordered the DVD as well as the remastered soundtrack. If Cotillard does not get the

A powerful performance by the young lady playing Edith Piaf. The locations, the music, the acting make the story come to life in a compelling yet entertaining fashion. A true slice of life made available for anyone in the least interested in the fascinating times and story of Edith Piaf. Didn't really know who she was. Had heard a few songs years ago. Now I know her, her times and her songs.

As a long-time fan of Piaf it is with great anticipation that I awaited the opportunity to see this film. That opportunity presented itself yesterday and I have not been the same since. I plan to see the film, which is not being given wide showing in this area, several more times before it is gone ... as is Piaf herself. I will anxiously await the DVD version so that I may view and hear it again
