I have read all the reviews here and in all the major magazines. I was concerned about wasting money to see this movie. I was very happily surprised. Will Ferrell is totally hit or miss when it comes to his movies. Loved Step brothers. Hated Hated Semi-pro! Loved Elf and Old School. So anyway, I was happy when this turned out to be pretty funny. There were 7 of us and we all liked it! Was it great? No. Was it true to the cheesy show I watched as a kid? No. Go in with no expectations and I think you can just see it as a kinda funny movie. Don't expect a blockbuster, but we weren't disappointed and I have seen MUCH MUCH WORSE!!!!!! And I could have gone the whole movie without the boob grabbing and humping references!!

the creator of the land of the lost wanted to have will farrel in this movie to have comedy in ******** not a mirror image of the show itself, however, it was a very good and extremely hilarious movie. dont take anyone that should not be exposed to adult humor hahaha i give it 4 and 1/2 stars out of 5:)

I think that this movie looks stupid. I mean, why couldn't they have used Marshall as the dad and Will and Holly as the son and daughter as they were in the show. I also know that it is not suppose to be a comedy. This movie just looks like a rip-off.

I loved this old Sat morning tv show as a kid from Sid & Marty Kroft. It was so original albeit cheesy at times. I hope Will Ferrel won't just go for the cheese and make a mockery of this old tv classic.
