i went to the movies wit my friends to see this....the movie is soo stupid...it has no point....in my 14 years of life i haven't seen a movie this retarded...i admit that some parts of it was funny..but either than that..the worst movie ive ever seen

I should have known. Really. I was never a fan of the series, but my sister was, and she suckered me into going with her to see this bit of trash. Without a doubt, this is the worst movie I've ever seen. Completely of devoid of any redeeming characteristics. It is a waste of celluloid. Others here describle it as "vulgar". That's a fair description. Another would be "infantile". Along with "puerile". Just plain "bad". Honestly, I can't think of one nice thing to say about this film.

i haven't seen the movie, but i can tell from the reviews its probably going to be good. if you look at the stepbrothers reviews, everyone said it was terrible and awful and vulgar...well i just thought it was hilarious. anyways, i already know this is going to be good because people are whining about terrible CG graphics, even though im guessing they were supposed to be terrible seeing what kind of movie it is. so if you can't appreciate this kind of movie, why go see it in the first place, and then go whine about it on the internet of all places. so seriously if you don't even like this kind of movie, you shouldn't be reviewing it.

I really think it should have been rated R. It's filthy. The commercials made it look more kid friendly than it was. I took 3 kids( 1,7, and14 years old) The movie is daft but it has lots of dinosaurs that the 7 year old loved. The absolutely foul language and sexual content kept me covering his eyes and ears the rest of the time. The 14 year old got a real eyeful of things I would rather he hadn't seen. Basically don't take kids - I don't know who this idiot movie was aimed at. Maybe really immature men... If the 1 year old hadn't been asleep on me; I would have walked out and asked for my money back.

I was stressed out Wednesday, which can happen to us creative types. So after work, I went to the movies to relax. Having made no prior plans, I purchased a ticket for the first film starting during my arrival at the theater. I selected "Land of the Lost" starring Will Ferrell as Dr. Rick Marshall, and the film was so bad that it was funny. I mean, I laughed so hard because of the film bad acting and equally bad plot line, which dealt with time travels of a sort. If the film was intended to be a spook of the 1974 television series created and produced by Sid and Marty Krofft, it ******** mark. This newer version of "Land of the Lost" can easily be rated as the worse film of the summer of 2009. However, the best scenes in the film was when Will Ferrell character Marshall continues to describe the dinosaur as having a brain the size of a walnut and watching dinosaur immediately reaction as its stopped to listen to Marshall, then jumping a divide to kill him, and later in the film after Marshall repeat him view on the size of the dinosaur's brain, the dinosaur responding by dropping a Volkswagen size walnut at the mouth of the cave where the time traveler are staying. Regardless of the film quality, I was much more relaxed after seeing the film. So I guess a bad film can sometimes have its good effects.

Unbelievably disappointing. The commercials contain almost all the funny scenes. I am a BIG Will Ferrell fan but he was awful in this. Danny McBride stole the show....and that is not saying much.

Hilarious, will farrell delivers as ususal--and this movie is typical will farrell type humor, its not toned down at all, which just makes it a fun movie to watch.
