This unusual documentary explores what it means to have a body, what aging and beauty mean to women, and it shows all sorts of bodies from birth to old age, clothed to nude. It even shows a body in the process of enduring a surgical operation and explores the body of the earth, and heavenly bodies as seen in NASA footage. Though it sounds artistic and high-minded beyond bearability, this Australian-made movie proved so popular with audiences during its commercial theatrical run that it had to be held over.
