After the death of his mother, Julien (Hubert Benhamdine) gives up the piano, which had been a huge part of his life while she was alive. Finding it hard to move on, Julien seeks refuge in his relationships, both with his best friend, Alice (Nathalie Boutefeu), and a young bookstore clerk he lusts after, Olga (Delphine Rollin). His sister, Emma (Florence Loiret-Caille), uses sexuality to cope, while his father, Gilles (Serge Riaboukine), finds it difficult to concentrate on his work.
