  • That lack of concern for the way people actually interact renders the film useless as entertainment, or as a conversion tool. show more

  • The performances don't help matters any, with acting ranging from tolerably earnest to laughable. Cage keeps Left Behind from being a completely unholy mess. show more

  • This failed epic — really, an epic failure — would barely be noticed, were it not for former Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage taking on a “Sharknado”-quality remake of a Kirk Cameron movie. show more

Perhaps the worst movie I have ever seen. Don't know why I continued to sit through it. We watched the end of Nicolas Cage's movie career. Just terrible (and I like Cage! It's just too bad to even give it a Raspberry Award. I have it ... Stinker Of The Year Award. Minus five3 stars at best.

I understand why they felt like a redo of this movie might be effective. While a few actors in the original movie, mainly Kirk Cameron, were good actors, the others were horrible. You had to get past the bad acting and really dive in to what the true message of the movie is about, and MOST people did. However, in the NEW film, the acting, while much better, the film just dragged on and on and never really focused on salvation and repentance. The scene where Chloe and the preacher interacted could have been great but it lasted all of 5 minutes of a 2 hour movie. Stay true to the message!!! Not the special affects and fluff.....And ending it where it did, that didn't really impress me too much either. You leave people without the TRUE understanding of what the RAPTURE will TRULY be like and the message that God has plainly given us in the Bible.
