I thoroughly enjoyed the film (it was beautiful), and recommend it because it makes one want to know more about the artists, and that era - be it book, film, documentary, whatever.

This is a beautiful movie! Robert Pattinson did a remarkable job portraying Dali's mannerisms - I was reminded so much of the Dali that I had seen on TV during my growing up years. He nailed Dali's narcissism and decision to choose becoming a celebrity over artistic integrity and human relationships. Javier Beltran played Federico Garcia Lorca wonderfully! This movie started as an interesting time piece, but was otherwise horribly flawed. (I normally give good reviews btw.) Dali's mother died of breast cancer, his father then married his mothers sister. Dali met and revered Pablo Picaso. Dali by all reports avoided touch, including sex, but loved to watch. His father hated his wife, he joined and was cast out of the surrealist movement. Cher
