Lost in Siberia synopsis
Archaeologist Andrei Miller (Anthony Andrews) is mistaken for a British spy while in Iran, and so he gets arrested and sentenced to Stalin's gulags, or labor camps. After attempting an escape and receiving 25 more years on his sentence, he resigns himself to a miserable life. As he struggles to survive, he falls in love with a doctor (Yelena Mayorova). But when the camp's chief learns of this love, he sends Miller away to Kolyma, an even harsher labor camp where few survive.
