While all four leads deserve better, it's especially galling to see Burstyn - still so lovely - wasting her time and talents on a film with so little wisdom to share. show more

The production is over-stuffed with cutesy split screens, jarring dream sequences and a pushy score by Bright Eyes band members Nathaniel Walcott and Mike Mogis that succeed in dragging the proceedings from merely cloying to increasingly annoying. show more

It's still worth seeing for its two dazzling centerpieces. show more

I have been waiting for this gem of a movie to be released since I saw it this summer in my NYU Movies 101 class. I loved it and have recommended to many people with whom I feel it will deeply resonate. The performances of Landau and Burstyn were exceptional. Banks and Scott also gave sincere supportive performances.

I saw Lovely Still, in Orinda, California on April 25, 2010 the California Independent Film Festival had done a great job in putting this movie as the final curtain call to end the Festival. The California Independent Film Festival started April 22, and ended on April 25, 2010 and as a Volunteer and a Sponsor I was very happy to see such a beautiful show. I highly recommend for everyone to see this.
