My first review. This was NOT a young children's movie. I took three grandchildren and there was definitely too much sexual interaction. We had read the book and the movie was too much ME and NOT ENOUGH MARLEY!!!

I read the book and just watched the movie. I love it!!! I have two crazy boxers. Buster and Cocoa and I can really relate.

Anyone who is a dog lover and has gone through the life cycle can laugh and cry at Marley. Recommend it for those who have kids who soon will face the end of a dogs life. Lots of families experience this and seeing how peaceful it is at the end might make em cry, but will certainly take away the wonder of how it happens. I disagree with bubila03. Marley was a great dog- no doubt about it.... and tonight as it snows I think about my crazy dog that died last year rolling and romping in the snow was her favorite activity. Unfortunately, our dogs don't live as long as we like and our kids don't need to be shielded from the truth.

I saw the move, and yes people get real......people and animals die!!!!!! It was a cute movie was sad at the end but showed the whole cycle of dog ownership. If you want to live in a fantasy world I would not reccommend it.

I must say this is the worst movie I have ever seen, even comparing it to Gigli! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN!!!! I spent over $60 for my kids ages 10 and 8 to cry for the last 30 MINUTES STRAIGHT. The last half an hour had no positive ending. My kids continued to cry even after we got to the car. Most of the wacthers were crying as well. A very sad movie. As for the writers the begining had a beautiful introduction of the early stages of having a puppy but missed the best part of owning a dog. They didnt show any positive events of what the dog actually gives back.Everything was bad! Worst movie ever!!!!

I saw this movie on New Years Day and I thought it was very good. It was a very cute movie, but very sad. I don't think you should take small children to see this movie because they will be very very upset with the ending.
