This was an awaited movie. It moved along as in the game. The story started slow in the beginning, and got its pace by the 1st quarter. Great actions. Loved it. Even though I expected a li'l more stuff, i am still satisfied. Good work! Cheers!!

If you like to see a hallucinating drugged guy kill the owner and all the security guards of a big corporation, then this movie is for you. If not, then stay away from this stinker of a movie. I give zero stars to this movie.

First off, I'm a huge Max Payne fan and when i heard this was being made about three years ago i almost died. I saw the trailer and thought, hey this looks like itll be a real good movie and live up to the game. NOT! The storyline is completely different from the game. The only part that is the same as the game is when his wife and kid get murdered, other than that its totally different story. I actually started zoning out during the movie too. The three or four actions scenes were ok, but i know everyone and my self included was expecting dozens of matrix style shootouts just like the game has. However, Wahlberg played him great in my opinion its just a shame the script sucked and had nothing to do game. All i could say is that it was a real disappointment. I don't know if I would even recommend it for a rent.

This movie was horrible. I am almost tempted to say it was worse than DOOM. Mark Wahlberg is a awesome actor and he normally says away from bad movies. Which was obviously not the case with this picture. The best words to describe this film is HOT GARBAGE!!

As a Max Payne fan, I went to see it only hoping there'd be good ation, it somewhat followed the games plot, and Mark Wahlberg did a decent job playing Max, and I thought it was awesome. Everyone that at least knows about the game or has played it or game to movie adaptations SHOULD know by now that they have to change a few things here and there in order to make it work for the big screen. Personally I didn't mind the way it turned out, and with how much the movie played on the games plot, kind of made me see a little clearly(besides what didn't follow the game)what went on through the game. I liked the idea about the drug and those winged Valkries. The slow motion and all the gunfire scenes were awesome, and what the movie did follow of the game liked just as much. I hope for a sequal. The only 2 things things I didn't like was, the women who played Nicole Horn, I honestly can't rmember the last thing I saw her in, and I would've likes someone else to play B.B. besides Beau bridges. His part in the movie might have shown evil or bad doing(like what he DID)but he himself didn't really convey it that much hate to say but, but I don't know what else to say about it. All in all, did somewhat follow the plot, did have awesome slow mo and shooting scenes, and Mark Wahlberg played a Max Payne outside the law doing whatever it took to find and collect clues to his wifes murder.

I saw this film a few days ago and enjoyed it very much. I thought that all of the acting was solid, including the story. Mark Wahlberg was very good as Max. Note: Stay after credits. I give it a high four stars.

I agree it was slow. I love how they made it really dark but the movie was kinda boring. Mark did a good job also.
