Utterly awful! Three quarters of the way through the movie I looked at my friend and asked, "is this a farce?" a la "Best in... t;? But no, 'twas not to be. Please do not waste your time on this cliche of a film. The actors weren't acting, they were caricatures of actors. The script was amateurish. So many other good films out there now...not this one Full Review
While I found it mildly interesting, my husband could barely stay awake. If you like old movies, you'll like ********* not a love story its a story... of Orson Welles getting a play off the ground and how he used his "genius" to feel free to be shallow and treat people like second class citizens. The cast is really great! I was lucky enought to have it come out in my city. If you can find it then you should go see it!
Christian McCay is Awesome! This is a really "nice" and well put together movie. PLEASE SCREEN THIS WIDE!!!
Me and Orson Welles belongs to that genre of films that makes the audience privy to a "behind the scenes" look into the production process,... be it of plays, movies, etc. In this case, of course, it's a view into Welles 1937 production of Julius Caesar. The film is thoroughly enjoyable, and the cast could not be better, especially Christian McCay who nails his portrayal of Welles. If you are lucky enough to have it come to your town, don't miss it! The impersonation of Welles by Christian McKay in Me and Orson Welles is the centerpiece of the film, and from it, all else flows. We can almost accept that this is the Great Man.Full Review
Christian McKay who, as Orson Welles in Me and Orson Welles"gives what I believe is the most exact and uncanny screen portrayal of an historical figure, ever.Full Review
Art is a fairy tale we choose to believe in, and this movie, a fiction confected about real people, is too good not to be true.Full Review
The British actor Christian McKay resurrects the young Welles as a magnificent mountain of talent, ego, and unsliced ham. He, and he alone, is reason enough to see this movie. The problem is the “Me’’ - Zac Efron.Full Review
What do you say about a movie that proves Zac Efron can act, introduces a master thespian in Christian McKay and launches a charm assault that is damn near irresistible? I say, see it.Full Review
