    Peter Hartlaub San Francisco Chronicle

The final message is a strong one: Even when the starting forward is one of the best high school players ever, basketball is still a team sport. show more

While More Than a Game is a terrific exhibition of talent, exuberance and skill, it is above all a moving tribute to enduring friendship. show more

    Joe Morgenstern Wall Street Journal

Fascinating not only for its portrait of an emergent--and endearing--superstar, but for the evolution of three teammates the young LeBron came to love, and the hard-driving coach who evolved with them. show more

The result would make an excellent inspirational video for aspiring players, but it's not quite ready for the pros. show more

    Kirk Honeycutt The Hollywood Reporter

This is one helluva good movie that craves the eyeballs of as many American high schoolers as it can possibly get. show more

A missed opportunity is the effect of the school on the boys, and vice versa. Instead of sociology, More Than a Game focuses on personality. show more

    Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Unfortunately, producers (including James) went for the easy layup, showing so much on-court action instead of trying to hustle for insights about sports and society. show more

More Than a Game is less than a movie. show more

    Kyle Smith New York Post

Like one of those five-minute featurettes on star athletes deployed to soak up time on the pregame show -- expanded to a paralytic length. show more

The film is filled with extraordinary characters and equally extraordinary circumstances that Hollywood could craft no better in any feature script. show more

godsladyk I went to check this movie out during the opening weekend. It was absolutely awesome. I enjoyed seeing the journey that Lebron and his friends went through and the camaraderie that was built between he and his childhood friends. Learning about the sacrifices the coach made by leaving Corporate America to invest in the lives of these young men was memorable. I got so much out of it. I would recommend that people go to see it. It was worth it. We could all learn to take the time to invest in children.

Lebron is a Loser, I had so much respect for him as a BBall player then after the Orlando series he refused to shake hands which I though was ok you know your heated and not happy w/ the outcome, but for him to then make the comment I'm I winner I dont shake hands w/ the team that beats me is just a poor sport, obviously your not a Winner if you lost BUM, I hope the Cavs suck this year w/ Shaq, I'm a Winner LOL
