i saw this movie with my girlfriend and me and her both liked the movie. we both give it 4 stars.

My husband and I dined here twice in the last 9 months, downstairs because we wanted to hear the jazz (Allen Munroe trio was playing). The steaks are good, the food is okay, however, the service was splotchy, at best. Our first time was okay, however, the second time in November, our waiter introduced himself and welcomed us to the Plaza Two (maybe he was a little nervous)....drinks at the bar are good, however, I would only come here to have drinks at the bar only if the Allen Munro trio was playing, and then head over to the Capitol Grille in the Plaza. My husband and I dined there last week and immediately upon walking in the door, it was heads and tails above the Plaza. Go to the Capitol Grille and ask for George Vial to be your waiter. He let my husband and I transition to the bar/lounge after our delightful meal, and said he would find us there to bring us our bill, instead of wait at the table. Not only did he find us in their busy lounge, he got us a drink from the bar (since the bartenders were a litte busy that night), lit up my husband's cigar, and continued to assist us as needed. \n\nBottom line -- go to the Capitol Grille -- my husband and I are kicking ourselves for not discovering it sooner!

This movie was the worse movie ever!! The story line from start to finish was terrible. I, an amature, could have written a better script. Kevin Costner must have really needed the money, since he just had a new baby, but honestly, did he read the script? The part his wife played, could have been phoned in. And Demi Moore must have had time on her hands to accept the role. How it was given 3 out of 5 stars is beyond me. The script was so scattered going from one bad scene to another. Come on Kevin, you haven't done your career any justice making this stinker.Evelyn Darredelynd@netscape.com

This movie was hysterical and wasn't supposed to be. I could barely catch my breath from laughing so hard at the low grade acting. This movie was obviously just a much needed cash bonus for the actors. William Hurt.....hurts.

Unexpectedly enthralling. Been a long time since I've enjoyed a thriller. Costner conveys his sexy intelligence even though he is a killer. The psycho-drama was brilliant between Bill Hurt and Kevin)! Demi came off as a tough cop but she does that so well! The kid from Sex in the City did a great job antagonizing and the new kid that wanted to learn how to kill did a fine debut. Never saw him before. With a few twists and turns, this movie made for a night at the movies well spent $$$. I would see it again!! GREAT JOB!!!

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY TO SEE THIS MOVIE TOO LONG AND KIND OF BORING. U CAN WAIT UNTIL IT COMES OUT ON TV PLEASE TRUST MY JUDGEMENT AND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Yup, Kevin Costner as a no-motive, no-reason other than "I'm an addict" serial killer. How cool! It's especially cool to watch a potential blackmailer (who took pictures while the first murder took place) slowly fades from menacing to passive. Demi Moore is also impressive as a rich, don't-need-the-job--because-I-am-rich detective who both admires Costner's work while also being resolved to stop The Thumbprint Killer as he has been called.Yes, it's a bit long but, just when you think it is over...it isn't... TWICE, so don't be getting ready to leave too early. The subplot about his slacker Paris Hilton daughter is intriguing and probably could have been explained a little better but let's just say the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. William Hurt is a knockout as Mr. Brooks' delightfully murderous conscience who urges him at most points to "go for it" but also shows some needed restraint when the cops are getting "too close". Definitely a summer hit!

Just loved this movie. Very interesting and kept my interest throughout. Violence was appropriate for the story line. Finally a decent movie to watch
