Mrs. Washington Goes to Smith

A mother who dropped out of school in order to start a family pursues her dreams of becoming a teacher after her marriage falls apart in this inspirational comedy drama starring Cybill Shepherd. Her divorce finalized, Alice Washington (Shepherd) makes the decision to earn her teaching degree at Smith College. But not even older students are exempt from the joys of living with roommate, so when Alice is paired with antagonistic piano student Zoe (Corri English) it looks like a match made on dorm hell. Over the course of the school year, however, the contentious roommates compete for the attention of their handsome poetry teacher (Jeffrey Nordling) and experience the thrill of college basketball while learning that sometimes the truest friends turn up in the most unexpected of places.
