Though its sentiment may be lost on the very young, the movie is strictly two-hanky fare. show more

A family movie with a heart and a brain. And if you aren't moved to tears, you might need an organ transplant. show more

    Steven Rea Philadelphia Inquirer

This is a sweet, gentle film - slow and sunny like a summer day, with a message that growing up can be hard, but can also serve as the wellspring of memories that will sustain you for a lifetime. show more

This movie drove me to tears! BIG tears! My son watched it once and will ********* it again...too sad...Probably because we have a Jack Russell just like "Skip"..and she is 10. Good movie but too damned sad!
