Idea stolen from "Roman Holiday" movie where Gregory Peck puts his hand in The Mouth of Truth!

The movie was to hard to follow. I was very bored. The plot was unbeleivable. If it wasn't for a few moments of levity, I would have left before it was over. I can't beleive Nicholas Cage even agreed to make this movie. Complete waste of money.

My son and I went to see "Book of Secrets" this past weekend, and we were both disappointed. The first one was sort of a thinking person's action adventure movie...if you love history, then it was right up your alley. This one was nothing more than silly fluff and the history was only added in small doses so that they could sell it as a continuance of the first movie. A lot of special effects, a bad guy (who wasn't all that bad...or particularly good at being bad, perhaps?) who chased our heros and then a happy ending. Eh, more Hollywood mediocrity. The only thing to pique your interest was how page 47 is just left hanging.....

This is great escapist enjoyment! i loved it. I laughed and even sat on the edge of my seat a few times. If you're looking for a laugh--and some escape from holiday stress--go see "National Treasure"!

Okay, let me do a count:Presidents kidnapped: 1Major government offices broken into: 2Jails broken out of: 1Violent car chases: 2Number of people sent to jail at end of movie: 0!! Seriously?!The movie was absolutely fantastic...if you didn't care about acting, character development (seriously, the antagonist who had been violently pursuing our hero actually DIES to save Ben Gates), or any kind of sensible plotline. I will say this: the movie is hilarious in its awfulness. But other than that, there is nothing in this movie for you.I was wary about the movie from the beginning (I mean come on, National Treasure 2?! Didn't they already FIND the National Treasure?!!) and was not disappointed.

encourages intelligence, teamwork, and emphasizes the simplicity of actuality that exists in our everyday lives. Any one with interest in US culture, purpose, meaning, and of course history should watch.
