This sequel to National Treasure brings back the original cast plus other for another great treasure hunt. A conspiracy comedy played with dead pan humor. A good film for the whole family. See my full review at johnhuntspace.com

The new release "Book of Secrets" is a great movie for entertainment and has great American historical influence. However Ben Gates and his father are adiment that their ancestors was loyal to the preservation of the Union during the War Between the States. If you closely watch the first movie after Ben Gates steals The Declaration ofI Independance they go to his father's house and hanging on the wall is a picture of Sonewall Jackson the famous Confederate General. Its nice to know the Gate's have Confederate synpathy's like I do. If only his ancestor would have Neil Armstrong could have planted the Confederate Flag on the moon.

It is tough to take seriously, which are replete with grammatical and spelling errors, from my point of view. Many of those that gave their opinion of this film need to return to grammar school for classes in basic English and spelling, or do they need a typing course, not sure? By the way, "adamint,"is actually spelled adamant, look it up.

OK, I admit it. I loved this movie.I was not looking for realism. I was looking for genuine enjoyment and that is what I got from the movie. I don't understand what measuring stick critics use to call this a bad movie. It's wonderful!! I especially wanted to point out what a great job Justin Bartha as the geek side kick of Cage did. I'd like to see an Oscar in his hands for supporting actor. Go see the movie. It's a lot of fun.

The movie was just plan and boring. I would have liked to see more educational points in the movie just like the first one. I wanted to see a more fun of a way to learn about our history and the movie just didn't give it to me. I love Nicholas Cage but come on!!

I liked this movie - I liked that acting and I liked the story. I was really into it but I felt the scenes where they snuck into the palace and then kidnapped the President, along with sneaking into the whitehouse were far fetched. Those scences took a little something away from an otherwise good film. I felt the unveiling of the city was less grandious than it should have been too. Overall, I would give it a B Plus.

The secret of page 47 is that Mich was really an Ailen from space, mad about the outcome of the civil war,who wanted to use the fortune from the city of gold to go back to space and get the rest of the confederate ailens to come back to earth(left earth after civil war) and destory all northern states.

I just didn't care for this movie! I don't know why...actors didn't grab me...plot didn't grab me...even the special effects didn't grab me. In fact, I actually dozed off a couple times, which shocked me! Sorry I went.

I have never posted areview before. However after reading all of yours, i felt I had to. I can imagine that most of you walked into the movie expecting a big lebowski, or fargo. That's why you feel so negative, because this movie the coens went out of the circle. "I don't get it." Is the common phrase I have seen here. Well maybe you should pay attention, because the coens do a fantastic job in putting it out there for you. The point of the movie is that we are all in the mercy of time. The ending was fantastic,(DONT READ ON IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE MOVIE) and all of you were looking for the cookie cutter hero wins ending. It's called life, and you all should realize that. Listen to Tommy Lee Jone's lines in the last scene, and you realize that. If you can't...stick to anchorman and superbad, because those should fit your mindset.
