Wonderful, wonderful movie. I felt immersed in all the various parts of NY through the cleverly told and smooth cinematographic techniques used to present the dozen or so NY tales. Sad and joyful, awe inspiring and comical, the vignettes intertwine the lives of ordinary city dwellers into a moving tour of private and public aspects of NY. They serve to paint a composite view of NY life as influenced by immigrants from many corners of the globe. Highly recommended to all viewers of all lands!

One of the better movies of the year. Subtle, varied, sophisticated; just like New York. I think that's the point. Great cast.

My husband and I, former New Yorkers, really liked the movie. The varied stories were thought provoking, and the acting very good. Filming was beautiful. Different and very enjoyable.
