Could have been a great movie had Jodie Foster spent more than 5 min on the island before it ends! It's like they just gave up on developing a relationship between her and Nim. And then the movie just ends and your like ok so what is next......it needed more ending....it really ticked me off I wanted to see more...maybe there will be a sequel with them living on the island that would be a great movie especially more time to see the goreous Gerard Butler!!!!

The acting was very good, Jodie Foster, enough said. Story line was good. Great for kids, Ok for adults.

This was a mildly entertaining movie but very slow moving. If you are looking for action or adventure, this one's not it!

Great time for a family film. Laugh out loud antics and touching, sweet moments. Jodie Foster is great in an atypical role. Nice push for her. Having loved Abbigail Breslin in "Little Miss Sunshine" I was looking forward to seeing her in this. However, I have to say, she's the weakest link.First, it's an adventure film and the girl she plays grows up Swiss Family Robinson style. However Ms. Breslin moves like she's never played outside before. It's clear that a double is used in most (all?) of the action scenes and in "easy" ones, say, running down the beach, she looks awkward and unbelievable. The heavy tan was about the only thing that made her look like she fit in the tropical setting. SO, I wish they had cast an girl who actually is comfortable in the outdoors; it would have made the role much more believable.

Having not seen this movie yet, I am considering taking a little gir than we plan to adopt. She is 12, but a bit immature. Is there anything in this movie that might make it a bad idea? I thought the little girl might be an empowering hero based on the trailer. Am I okay in that idea? Any comments would help. Thanks!

I absolutely loved this movie. It was a fun adventure flick that was suitable for the whole family. It had a great story, beautiful scenery and wildlife, and lovable characters. It was heart-warming and funny too. It was a wonderful, feel-good movie. I definitely plan to buy the DVD when it comes out.

Was a joy to watch. Never knew Jodi Foster could be funny! I ******* had been longer. Actually I would have liked to have seen more of them " coming together" once you have seen it would understand by the ending what I mean by that. The previews makes it seem that Jodie's character alias "Alex Rover" comes to the island and saves her Father but its not about that, its the relationship she builds in a very short time with Nim the girl. Very sweet, clean (great kids movie) and adults will like it too.

"Nim's Island" is a unique little film with lot's of suspense. I found it odd that the little girl wouldn't feel isolated or lonely on that island without anyone her age. The lizard is too cute!

This was a very enjoyable film for everyone! Jodie Foster is my very favorite actor, and she is great in the film. The rest of the cast is very good. Abbigail Breslin is going to be a great actress. Gerard Butler is also great in a dual role. Beautiful locations! It's so nice to watch a movie every now and then when you know from the first frame that after the credits roll, you will feel all warm and fuzzy!
