I got suckered into seeing this movie because it won a boatload of awards, and I still can't figure out how it won anything. Frigging Hollywood is out in space if they think that this is a good movie. I will be more careful in the future with how I spend my dollars at the movies. I should have listened to all of the "normal" people who were panning this movie, when the critics, -who are out of touch anyway, -were loving it. What a waste of time. What garbage, total trash, and I understood every moment of this TURKEY!!!

How can this be called a masterpiece? Yes, the acting is good, and it is a different king of movie. But does that make it good and worth seeing? I think not!!We along with many other movie goers walked out saying ".. what the heck was that???" If you enjoy dark, senseless violent movies. then go see this.

After only 5 mins into the film, bodies are strewn everywhere, replete with blood and flies....I counted at least 20 bodies in the film and maybe more, I just lost count...there are moments of utter, stunned horror, and it is always related to Killing someone else. I did not like the film and wanted to leave after 10 more minutes of blood and guts spattered everywhere. But I stayed for it all, gripped with wanting to know if the main character survived. Somehow, it represented all the violence that we live with today. And I do not need to have it thrown in my face again after all the Killings that are going on in the war...and in our country...why glorify violence? This is a guy movie for sure, if you are into guns and destruction of human life. It is a sad statement that this film won so many awards...is that the path we are taking now? Glorifying such inhuman behaviors just turns me off totally. Do not go if you have any hope left for humanity as this film will challenge that belief. I was impressed with the actors but it was not enough to save the intent of the movie.

No Country is a great movie. Certainly the best I've seen in years. Those who don't like the movie seem to be folks who need life wrapped up in a nice package. I'd prefer, as No Country brilliantly provides, something more real that reflects a world in which ambiguity and enigma exist--as our surely does. There were so many wonderful themes in this film: age, change, fate, power. In this day and age its hard to find thoughtful movies that have a theme at all.

I could not wait to see this film since it came out and I really expected something great. That might be part of the reason I was so disappointed. I can't even believe it was nominated for best film let alone win. There was nothing great about this film whatsoever, it was better than a typical made film but the story and writing lacked so much. As a film buff I just can't see what the critics saw.

What is wrong with you people who wrote their reviews below?? The critics are right on about this one. Very exciting movie, good story, well done and good acting. I can't believe all you losers who wrote their reviews before me did not like this movie. What more do you want? Another boring complicated movie to figure out like Michael Clayton?(that was a painful one to watch.) This is one of the better movies I have seen in a long time. I have no problem with it getting "best picture" as it probably was the best one I have seen in the last year......
