I'am a big fan of Eddie, but this movie did not suit me well. I was excited to see the movie befor I bought the ticket. Some people in the theater were laughing,but i was not. I felt bad inside I only laughed about three times. If It wasn't for my husband I would have gotten right up and walked right out there!! Two women felt the same as me because they left thirty minutes after the movie started. The movie was a disgrace to all women he took that movie and made it into a freak show. My husband who loves Eddie to,felt Eddie had an argument whith a big woman and said, "I'am going to get back at her". And made that film. I'm truly out of words I caught the first show and left felling last. I give this movie two thumbs down! I am not a big woman but i do have meat on me and a heart and i hope that Eddie Murphy does not truly feel that way about "curvy women" because we are not like that at all.

I'm not normally a huge fan of this type of movie, but this one was laugh out loud funny. I'll admit, it was sometimes over the top. All in all, if you like Eddie Murphey and you just want to see something that will make you laugh, this is it. Similar to Nutty Professor in that he plays more than one character, but he played them well. My 14 year old waited with baited breath to see this again the day it came into theaters, he laughed so hard during the screening.

YOUR I.Q. WILL DROP TEN POINTS BY SIMPLY THINKING ABOUT SEEING THIS MOVIE. BUYING A TICKET WILL SHAVE OFF ANOTHER TWENTY. IF YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THIS MOVIE YOU WILL LEAVE WITH SEVERE AUTISM. NOT ONLY WILL YOU BECOME DUMBER BY SEEING THIS MOVIE, YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE BORN WITH SEVER MENTAL HANDICAPS. YOUR RELATIVES BECOME DUMBER. EVEN PEOPLE THAT LOOK LIKE YOU WILL SUDDENLY TURN INTO IDIOTS...WHETHER THEY'VE SEEN THE MOVIE OR NOT! ARE YOU PREPARED TO TAKE ON THAT KIND OF RESPONSIBILITY? GIVEN THE OPTION I'D RATHER BURN MY EYES OUT WITH HOT CRACK PIPES THEN WATCH NORBIT AGAIN. I WOULD ACTUALLY PAY TO NOT HAVE TO SEE IT AGAIN. NORBIT IS THE WORST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF (IT'S HARD TO EVEN USE THIS WORD HERE) CINEMA. A TRULY PAINFUL SOUL-CRUSHING EXPERIENCE!

In Norbit, Eddie Murphy is like a xylophone player who keeps banging away on the same two discordant notes; unfortunately, those monotonous, off-key tones are the characters he's playing. an aviator-framed nerd who's like a human punching bag out of the worst urban sitcom of 1974, Murphy speaks in a breathy lisp, as if his mouth had been partially buttoned shut, and he doesn't give himself the nerd's traditional redeeming feature of a geeky, slide-rule intellect. Norbit, all frozen gawk, is just a very dim bulb.This is unreal!! The fun in Norbit is watching Murphy at work - the guy has a knack for bringing the physicality of his comic characters to life. But It's an astonishingly crass and vulgar film, crudely directed on a cut-rate budget by Brian Robbins, never more than almost funny or less than disturbing.
