  • This unassuming and unexpectedly moving picture set in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood is a sugarplum-and-sofrito affair centering on the Rodriguez household. show more

  • The situations tend toward contrivance, but the atmosphere is easygoing and the actors seem relaxed even when everyone at the family table is yelling. show more

  • It's what we need at the holidays, and it's the modest goal of a modest little picture like this--to capture something heartfelt and real. show more

Why isnt this movie in more theaters??!! I have to travel 30 miles to go see it and its earliest showing is at 9:20 pm!!! This is not fair!!! I've been waiting for a movie like this forever and now that its out I cant go see it. I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD. Aye, Dios mio!!!! Oh, and by the way I am Puerto Rican from Humboldt Park where I hear this movie was filmed. I am currently living in Central Florida. I miss Chicago and the Puerto Rican community there. This would of been a perfect movie for me to see and truly enjoy

This movie pretty much sucked. I'm REALLY surprised by some of the reviews on here. It's a Puerto Rican film not a non-race movie. I have no clue why Debra Messing chose this movie, she must have been bored at home or something.
