O-18 Synopsis & Summary

aka A Message from the Sky This spy adventure, shot in England, shows the fine hand of American director George Loane Tucker. Two foreigners, Otto and William Bergmann, are posing as merchants, but in reality they are spies waiting for orders from their government. But their stenographer (Jane Gail) is also a spy, known as O-18, and is working for the other side. The Bergmanns receive instructions, dropped from a plane, to blow up a bridge while a troop train is crossing it. O-18 listens in on their scheme with the help of a dictograph, but she is caught and spirited away to a country villa. One of her associates, however, pursues the Bergmanns and O-18 and the train are both saved. - Janiss Garza, All Movie Guide
