O Jerusalem has the virtue of energy, but it suffers from superficiality, particularly with regard to the characterizations. show more

What is evident from the film is that there was never any chance these two peoples could make a peaceful coexistence. show more

    Boston Globe

Alas, it aspires to be an epic drama but suffers from an acute identity crisis: It can't decide if it wants to be history, drama, or a cry for peace in the Mideast. show more

As a pocket history of the battles over Jerusalem in the ’40s, O Jerusalem is serviceable enough. But all the melodrama cheapens the real drama, and turns a war-torn region into a soap-opera stage. show more

    Michael Sragow Baltimore Sun

As overstated and expository as a historical pageant, from the drippy music to a sputtering, running gag involving funky old jalopies to cliched speeches and teary-eyed deaths and a final voice-over crying out for peace. Why not add a song score and an exclamation mark in the title? show more

Imagine watching Otto Preminger's equally silly 1960 "Exodus" now and you'll have O Jerusalem, minus Paul Newman's blue-eyed wink. show more

Features some first-rate cinematography and solid acting, but absolutely no sense of emotional boundaries. show more

Whether on a Middle Eastern battlefield or the streets of New York, characters converse in stilted, expository mouthfuls that smother emotion. show more

The film is worth seeing if only to remind us of things we tend to forget.\nThe personal stories of people caught up in history is another good reason to see this film.

Ridiculous script and bad acting. Not to mention some lousy sets--including an image of the Brooklyn Bridge that appears to have been painted on a wall. Stay home and read a book.

The sub-plot (i.e. the relationships between characters) was silly at best. The acting was mediocre and the subject matter was presented in the most un-exciting manner possible. Chaval...the book was a very good read!

I took my car thur this car wash on Oct 12, 2007 at 6:33 pm ---it was awful I got the 9.00 car wash and I still had wax and soap on my car when I pulled out. I tried to call the phone number listed in the yellow pages but it is just a fax machine. I am very upset with this car wash I have used it before with no problems, I don't know what happen but it cost me 9.00 for the wash and another 100.00 to have someone else detail it --******* and get the soap and wax off it. It had to be buffed because the soap left soap circles. I would like a refund but no is ever at this business.
