My wife is a huge fan of Beyonce. So she can't be trusted with a truthful review. Here are the facts. The story is predictable. Women can get away with anything. Idris does his best with the script. The fight scene reminded me of Jerry Springer....when the show was on its last legs. Catch the movie on cable, you not missing a thing. Um...Beyonce change your hair style. Please?!!!!

I could think of better ways to spend $11 than to go see this movie.

This was a good movie. I was fearful as I was going in to see it because I had read some of the reviews on here. But I must say my boyfriend and I really liked ************** some conversation between he and I on how situations like Idris Elba found himself in can be resolved much easier. It's a definate "Go See"!!! And I have to say Beyonce did a better job than she normally does. I love, love, love her music but I dont care for her as an actress. She did a much better job in this one.

This movie falls into the category of so bad ********* funny. The main character, Derek, does absolutely everything he shouldn't and all around me in the theater everyone thought he was so stupid that people were shouting out what he SHOULD be doing. Jerry O'Connell plays Derek's best friend but it doesn't make sense that an upstanding guy like Derek would have a slimeball like this for a friend, much less best friend. In the opening scene Beyonce moves around with a dreamy smile on her face as though she's in a music video. The rest of her acting was okay, but once again the writers had her behaving in such a stupid manner, just like Derek. If Beyonce is serious about acting, she needs to keep seeking out roles that really make her reach down to her depths like the Etta James character. Ali Larter's character was so insane, yet no one catches on??? Idris Elba did what he could with such a dumb script. The climatic fight was so inevitable given the stupid moves of the characters that people were laughing in the theater. I'm not sure that's the response the movie makers wanted

Predictable movie, the trailers gave away too much. ********** this, go watch the other new releases, preferably the Soloist.
