At first the movie seems terribly ridiculous, however Spike Lee always has something in every film that is a shocker you never expect. If you are a Spike Lee fan as I undoubtedly am, you expect the unexpected in an area of the movie you least are likely to find it. Needless to say I believe there is always a message to remember, maybe not so much to necessarily apply to your life other than the fact that people are different and people can change. One thing is for sure, when you see a Spike Lee movie, you will never see the same thing again - each movie is uniqe.

If you can detach your brain and let your senses run wild, You will enjoy it. I even dare say there were couple of memorable scenes.

Is this a great movie? No. Is it as good as the original? No. Is it worth seeing? Yes. To enjoy, put yourself in the shoes of the Josh Brolin character. Could I survive? What would I do? Could I be that strong? Then leave the theatre thankful that these are questions you will never have to answer.
