This movie was beautiful! It will speak to you if you've ever take the path MORE traveled rather than the one less traveled. Or I guess if you've ever put your heart 2nd.

And no, I don't mean the film, I mean the number of times anyone should view the film. Once is once too many for Once. Although I can see what other people liked about it, I cannot ignore the fact that the dialogue was scarce and uninformative, the plot was not advanced and at times, buried, there was no lighting, and the 88-minute film seemed like it was 3 hours long. Further than that, the fledgling plot would not have been enough to carrry the film anyway. If this film speaks to some avant-garde style of filmmaking that will soon be used in all movies, I shall be quite happy with my collection of DVDs and without ever setting foot in a theatre again.

Way to take home the OSCAR for best song....reminded me of Keith Carradine and "Im Easy"....so refreshing to see two lovely musicians play together...and with a beat up 6-string to boot....the older the violin...the sweeter the music..

I just rented this liittle gem and i have to say this was the best film I watched all year. It was a very simple film that touched me in a way no other movie did in 2007. It started out a little strange but within minutes I was hooked. Both actors were very sweet and the music was amazing. I actually watched it a second time.

This movie sounds absoutely awful, so I don't think I'll be seeing it.

What do people want? This is a simple slice of real life told simply and eloquently. A poem of a movie which shows there are no pat answers. Just two people doing what they have to do. And showing nothing but love everywhere: to their family members, to their friends, to each other.
