One Kine Day

Two O'ahu teens prepare to make the most important decision of their young lives after learning they are about to become parents in director Chuck Mitsui's tender coming of age drama. Ralsto is a teenage skater without a care in the world. His life of leisure comes to a sudden end, however, when his 15 year old girlfriend Alea announces that she is pregnant and he is the father. Determined not to let a simple teenage mistake define the rest of their lives, Ralsto and Alea agree that "getting da kine" is the way to go, and Ralsto heads to work at the local skate shop. Upon arriving, however, Ralsto is unexpectedly fired for constantly coming in late. Meanwhile, Alea has a conversation with her best friend Leilani that leaves her convinced they should keep the baby. But Ralsto remains determined to stick to their original plan, and joins his best friend Nalu in attempting to raise some quick cash through cockfights and drug deals. Unfortunately for Ralto, things don't go according to plan.
