excellent suspensful thriller. the young actress, isabelle fuhrman was phenominal. the parents, played by peter saarsgard and vera farmiga, as well... s the two siblings are amazing as well. orphan never has a dull moment and the twist at the end was wicked. good movie for older teens and adults. lots of sex, brief female nudity(shown in a porn magazine) grim violence, frightening scenes, and strong language often said by the young girl. overall rating 5/5 Full Review

i had to look this kid up to see if she was indeed a child or really a grown woman with a rare disorder! with acting chops like hers, i fully expect... to see her name splashed across marquees around the globe. Full Review

You want a good horror film about a child from hell, you got one. Do not, under any circumstances, take children to see it. Take my word on this.Full Review

Furhman plays pure evil with such supreme calmness that only her eyes shine with madness. Indeed, all of the child actors are superb, especially the expressive Engineer.Full Review

The best part of Orphan is the outstandingly lunatic plot twist that kicks in just as you're checking your watch and hoping they'll wrap things up. This development - I'd love to tell you, but you wouldn't believe me - boosts the movie into overdrive for a final 20 minutes of happy, disreputable mayhem.Full Review
