A beautifully dark fairytail, entwined with saddness and loss. Awesome cinematography. Well worth seeing.

Pan's Labyrinth is probably the best movie I have ever seen. It is truly a fantasy for adults as it is magical and has some history. Guillermo Del Toro has out done himself.

pans labyrinth is a brilliant dark fantasy bringing us to the roots of fantasy and horror. this movie truly shows how a fantasy doesn't have to have a good ending adding its more dramatic affect and more thrills giving it a reason why the critics loved it. this movies plot is excellent and shows what true evil is(instead of the fantasy creatures) and how it can overcome innocence(such as its brutal ending and the frightening pale man sequence).the pale man sequences is a very smart frightening sequence that showed that evil can trick you in even the smallest things. the girl was told not to eat anything but no matter the fact of being warned, she still did it showing how evil can overcome innocence in ways of tricking the innocence into doing things that you shouldn't do even if you really wanted to leaving tragic consequences like how the girl almost died and how the fauns pets were cannibalized. the acting is excellent as is the movie emotionally and visually. the music is splendid and gives you a very emotional feeling. despite its flawless plot, the movie's brutality sequences are fast paced and go well with drastic measures. by far the most clever of all dark fantasies.
