Under-developed story and characters but the actors make the experience pleasant . Average movie. Not hopeful.
Just being in Paris in August it was fun to recognize many of the places. Tho I liked the film, not crazy about it, it was too long, too dark. And I agree about the goofy relationships of older men ... and younger women. They were not very beleivable. I thought the men were charming. Looks are not everything. And as we all get from the movie. Paris is beautiful and definitely my city of lights! Full Review
Pointless, unfocused movie - boring. Just a shoot-from-the-hip, write about whatever drifts into your mind. It by no means showed a cross-section of Paris - on the other hand, the underbelly, immigr... ants. It does not possess the beauty or sensitivity that you expect in a French movie. There were a couple of beautiful women, but the men were not only unattractive, they had charisma bypasses. Speaking and understanding French will not make this movie more interesting. Full Review
A wonderful film, if you like Frecnh movies as I do, Juliette and Roman Duris deliver wonderful, heartwarming performances and I do hope their performances won't be forgotten at award times (I'm pret... ty sure, they will be. Like last year, the movie: "The Flight of the Red Baloon," with a wonderful Julitte Binoche wasn't even mentioned.) Full Review
