Saw Planes at Airventure Oshkosh last week. The first public showing. The kids will love it. I may take the grandson so I can see it in 3D. The producer gave a little speech about his family ties to the Navy. Big surprise, the navy saves the day in the movie.

Looking forward to seeing the movie and hearing the sounds of ZED and NED as they were recorded from my Cassutt flying at Reno/Stead Airport, Home of the Reno Air Races. My Cassutt races as \"Little Tony the Tiger\" . It is painted to resemble a P-40 Flying Tiger. We race in the Formula One Class.

Little ones will stay engaged, but any kid old enough to fly unaccompanied will probably search for other in-flight entertainment. Full Review

The animated film has all the hallmarks of a straight-to-DVD project - inferior plot, dull writing, cheap drawing. Full Review

Often less really is more, and that’s why I can recommend Planes, a charmingly modest low-budget spin-off from Pixar’s “Cars’’ that provides more thrills and laughs for young children and their parents than many of its more elaborate brethren. Full Review
Planes has some wonderfully goofy, even ineffable, touches. Full Review
