The movie as a whole isn't exactly ground-breaking, and some of the humor tanks. But it has enough action, laughs and candy-hued visuals to satisfy the target audience without plunging grown-ups into despair. show more

An uninspired computer-animated feature that may satisfy undiscriminating pipsqueaks and nearly no one else, Planet 51 is a low-IQ E.T. in reverse. show more

Movie references abound, but there's not enough humor to fuel even 90 minutes. show more

A perky though not terribly imaginative feature aimed primarily at youngsters. show more

Although not bowling me over, Planet 51 is a jolly and good-looking animated feature in glorious 2-D. show more

What's missing is originality and story and inventiveness. show more

This movie, which was made by an animation studio in Spain, isn't trying to make a social statement; it speaks in the international language of lightweight comedy. show more

I personally enjoyed watching this movie more than my younger brother, and I even own it on DVD, yet I can see why most people did not bother watching it and it was not such a big hit. I watched it 2 years after it was released because it did look pretty lame, but I loved the animation and story.

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie with my friends son and daughter (they had a party to go to!). 20 minutes into the movie he was asleep and watching their daughter she could not sit still she was so bored with the movie. Characters wer cute, animation was good but the plot wasn't even there! Save your money!

I thought it would be great. I was so excited. Ended up boring me to death. I usually LOVE kid movies. Deeply disappointed )-: I wish I didn't even go waste my time. I could have seen Mr.Fox or something. Maybe that would have been better...
