Porgy and Bess, the movie is so wonderful. I was young when I saw the movie and enjoyed it. The music with the actors along with the appearance of... ammy Davis Jr. is awesome. Now if I could only have it on a DVD, so I could watch it often. Wonder if this will ever be a DVD. Sure would love to have it in my home. Full Review

Porgy and Bess brought together many of the leading african American actors and actresses to the same stage. We had memorable performances by Sidney... Poitier, Sammy Davis Juinior and many others who befre retiring from the stage left an indelible mark on the American stage. I was very young when it aired, but still remember scenes and the excitement that arose with the enactment. I think that it does deserve to be cited as one of the top portraits for this decade and possibly for the century. Full Review
