just an amazing film. Geoffery Rush! Joachim Phoenix almost to painful to watch(not in Sade's way of course) Not for faint of heart, or rape/abuse... rvivors, except, we see an artist and a man in Sade. I have never seen a better performance....Geoferry, you should have gotten the acadamy award....Joachim, will they EVER STOP HAVING YOU HOLD SOMEONE WHO HAS JUST DIED< and you are devestated?!?!?!?!?!? Please HOLLYWOOD, don't do that to him anymore, too close. Unless it helps...I cant, NOT, think of that f'n 411 call, and River,............AHHHHHHHHHHH. Otherwise Kate Winslet my dear......immaculate performance. No Really! I hated the Marquis Da Sade b4 this film...its that brilliant. And Im snotty! : ) Full Review

Joaquin delivers one of the most compelling performances of his career. Sizzling hot, intriguing, this century's muse begins the moment of a career... that will be as sterling, provoking, and intellingent as the population will accept what Joaq has to offer. How rare to have the opportunity to witness such integrity from such a magnificent human beging. I only hope this is realized before we lose this privilege to another of his various, passionate and worth-while interests. All the Best Joaq - Love your friend Claudia Weier. Full Review
