This movie was painful to sit through. I was expecting great things from the characters but they were pretty bland. The battle scenes were at some... points laughable with few interesting concepts thrown into an extremely drawn out movie. And then it's split into two movies?! That was probably the biggest F U of all time.. I could have found an hour to cut out of this one so the two movies could be merged into one. Full Review

Anyone who enjoys stylized hyper-violence should be enthralled by this long, sweeping, murderously vivid dramatization of ancient Chinese warfare, circa A.D. 208.Full Review

Red Cliff is a dichotomous beast: The computer-generated imagery that makes so much of it possible is served up in heaping, state-of-the-art portions, but the results occasionally border on the cartoonish. At the same time, Red Cliff is a classic tale that gets a classicist's treatment.Full Review
