Wow! WTG Bill Maher! I couldn't belive how many things you said that I've thought and said. Why do people feel they have to live theirs lives according to the laws of books written 2000 years ago by men? Anyway, apprecaisted the candid and honest approach to a touchy subject. Loved the rebel preist at the Vatican! A man after my own heart!

Finnally, a voice of sanity in a world gone crazy! We need many more if we want our children to have a world in any form. Since, these bible thumping crazies got a political voice, this country is as dangerous as any other country where aciient fairy tails is the base of their reason..

Finally someone had the guts to make a movie like this. Being a non-believer is taboo in this country. This movie emphasises how gullible and naive religious people are. Religion is a crutch for people who can't face the reality of death. Have most Christians read the entire bible from front to back including both testiments? Of course not but they swear up and down that it is God's word and people must abide by it's every word. Thank you Bill Maher for taking on this subject and showing how silly all those fairy tales are. Bravo!!!!

If you are the type of person who can attend a viewing of a film that is obviously biased and obviously looking to push buttons without feeling an overwhelming need to voice your opinion and sit with arms crossed and pouted lips until the ending, then Bill Maher's mockumentary is probably for you. I enjoyed this film quite a bit on a very level field of entertainment. Religion is attacked, yes, but also questioned and debated in a light-hearted way that leaves you laughing at some of the absurdities but also pondering some deeper questions of what it means to have so much of the world's control and leadership under the thumb of religion. The film attempts to draw some very strange and apocalyptic conclusion at the end and I wish it had simply stuck to the humor it had throughout, but overall this is a movie worth seeing - if you go in with a blank mindset regarding religion.

If you are questioning the role of religion in your life, this film is worth seeing . There were some funny parts. I liked the Christian cartoon where Adam is explaining to Eve where she came from while Adam fondles his stick which he is pretending is his bone. Adam was cute and naked and he kind of turned me on. Mostly though, the film disturbed me because it was full of crazy people. I wish I could say they were exceptionally crazy, but really they were just average religious people.

This is a very entertaining movie. I gave it 5 stars because it really reveals how man made religion is. I did not say God or Jesus, I said religion. Maher was brave to take on the religious nuts. Mahr, just like the other 15 % of us, can't believe the world is in the hands of religious nuts fighting with each other. Nobody could admit to "I don't know". I have been saying this for years. Don't get me wrong, I "Hope there is" but "I don't know". This is a very hush hush subject that people are afraid to talk about. Where did the rosary come from? Communion, conformation? The catholic religion should be fair when teaching these traditions. Tell the kids where these came from then let them decide. Good movie.............go and see it.
