A very well acted movie, good plot.

Joaquin Phoenix could have done a better job. He sometimes felt fake. Aside from this, however, Jennifer Connelly and Mark Ruffalo shine. The movie was predictable, and there wasn't a happy moment in the whole film.

great cast, great connecticut locations...but mostly a gloomy mood and quite predicable.

The script gives all actors a great range with which to work and all rise to the occasion carrying the audience into their drastic emotional web.

Great cast... their Oscar performances will live with you. Structure just a bit too facile, but this movie and cast deserve better reviews.
