This movie defiantly had my attention from the get go. It was worth watching but I was hoping for a bit more action. There was only about 10 min of solid action in the movie. I was really hoping for a battle but, I guess I still have part 2. Otherwise, great Friday night movie!
Awesome movie! Very action packed and was a total hit for me and my kids!!! This is definately a movie worth to buy!
I'm not a big fan of films that , purely based on the subject matter, must rely on so much CGI. At no time was I unaware of the fact that I was looking at computer generated images. That aside, the story line was fairly weak, though the real actors' acting was pretty good. The best I can say for this movie is, it wasn't terrible.
Good Movie; Exciting; good story setting.
loved it.I'm waiting to see part two

Thanks to stunning advances in performance capture technology, director Rupert Wyatt successfully ditches the cumbersome makeup appliances of past chapters, building the story around a cast of photoreal CG simians convincing enough to identify with as characters, rather than just special effects. The cautionary tale feels surprisingly fresh and entertaining, given that this is the fifth "Planet of the Apes" film since the 1968 original. Full Review

Judged, though, as the action extravaganza it means to be, Rise of the Planet of the Apes wins high marks for originality, and takes top honors for spectacle. Full Review
