Plot
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the United States, and Nikita Khrushchev, Premier of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, both rose politically during the 1950s. This documentary, hosted by actor Gerald McRaney, examines the rivalry between these two superpower leaders and the international skirmishes that nearly brought a world to nuclear war over a tense 13-day period in October 1962. The video uses extensive archival footage and photographs.
